Vellocino is a secluded place of the Matanzas´s geography , located five miles and a half northwest of the Juan Gualberto Gómez´s town, in Union de Reyes´s municipallity . In 1953 the Cuban nation was involved in perhaps the most dismal time since its advent as a republic in 1902. Government was the personal fiefdom of a dictator, boosted to power by the United States. This, instead, were not only the domain hiding behind the presidential chair, they had also become the economic master of country which they exploited putting it at the brink of an economic catastrophe.
