Intensifying control at border points, located in Ceiba Mocha and Bacunayagua, constitutes a prioritized objective within the actions to combat the spread and contagion of Covid-19, analyzed by the leaders of the Provincial Defense Council, the member of the Bureau Provincial of the Communist Party of Cuba, Sucely Morfa González and Marieta Poey, vice-governor during the teleconference with the municipal defense councils.

Given the high rates in Havana and Mayabeque, it is a matter of counteracting the possible entry of cases into the territory. It was also known that a database is being sent to the health area, before which Sucely stressed that «it must be necessary to arrive that information on time to the family doctor’s offices» and announced that this measure will be extended soon to popular council of Varadero. »

In this sense, the Health authorities expressed the need to close lines in work centers and stores, in addition to the fact that when evaluative tests are carried out, the protocols are followed to avoid contamination of said tests.

The province continues with a stable infestation index tending to decrease, by taking extreme measures of isolation of suspects and contacts, for which they insisted on the investigation that will now have six questions to answer in each visit to the homes, about all in the case of vulnerable citizens due to suffering from a chronic pathology. It is still vital that people report any symptoms, because severe and critical cases, in many cases, originate from a belated action to seek medical advice.

The endemic channel indicates that there are other respiratory viruses, so it is imperative in health areas to analyze the behavior of Matanzas people who could be prone to developing complications associated with the pandemic.
