With the physical distancing and the essential sanitary measures due to Covid-19, the teacher Digna Guerra, Hero of Labor and director of the National Choir, has summoned the choral movement.
The note indicates that other musicians, singer-songwriters, visual artists, poets and repentistas, and scholars of the Apostle’s work have joined the call for the fatherland date to become a commemoration of culture, poetry and the arts, showing to the world the respect of the Cubans who, guided by José Martí, Máximo Gómez and Antonio Maceo, charged with the machete shouting Independence or Death.
