As Alfredo Torres Rodríguez, municipal director of Culture, explained, this time the Culture Week in Pedro Betancourt is also dedicated to the 62nd Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, the Day of the Culture Worker, the re-inauguration of the museum and the outstanding writer Yoandry Martínez Rodríguez, Foundation Prize of the City of Matanzas.
The Galata Theater group came to the Juan Gualberto Gómez Elementary School, the October 28th Basic High School and the Home for the Elderly, to spread their joy to the people through a street show.
«In the afternoon of this December 19th , a show by the Circo América took place at the Cuba Theater in the town and during the night the Mexican music group Los Coyotes was presented, very liked by the Betancourense public,» said Torres Rodríguez .
In accordance with the program provided by the Municipal Directorate of Culture, at the end of the day they will pay tribute to educators with the screening and debate of the Cuban film El Brigadista and the exhibition «Education, pillar of values and convictions», at the museum Gustavo González Pérez.
