By 96.3 in modulated frequency the voice that unites this municipality is heard. Thanks to the efforts of many, Radio Union began its transmissions, becoming the youngest station in the Matanzas radial family.

During the ceremony for the 65th anniversary of Moncada heroical deed, in the municipality of Unión de Reyes, in Matanzas, the station 98 of the country began broadcasting.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Interior, Vice Admiral Julio César Gandarilla Bermejo; members of the Provincial Bureau of the Party, headed by its first secretary Teresa Rojas Monzón and Onelio Castillo Corderí, director of the Cuban Radio.

Located in the former offices of the May First factory, the broadcasting station has all the technological conditions for radio transmission.

The cozy site is the result of the work of the workers of SANCOF, a cooperative of people working on their own, a group of people specialized in this type of construction and that carries the greatest weight of restoration construction actions in Matanzas. In record time of 60 days, constructive forces of that entity executed the work in that plant and deserved the 95th Anniversary Seal of the Radio.

Radio Union will transmit three hours a day, from 9:00 in the morning until 12:00 noon, added its director and broadcaster Yaudel Rodríguez Vento. The design of radio programming includes information, varied programs and the participation of fans of the territory.

In the celebration on July 26 in Union de Reyes recognized collectives and workers prominent in the production and services in the territory and a group of young people received the official document that make them members of the Communist Party of Cuba.
