Matanzas Tourism concludes with new investments

The tourism sector in the province of Matanzas concludes 2013 with capital and maintenance investments, first of all  in accommodation facilities of renowned Varadero resort , in order to increase the quality of services that guarantee the satisfaction of Cuban and foreign customers.

Executives of the Ministry of Tourism in the territory said that working on the diversification of source markets , highlighting the five inaugural flights of Russia who arrived from the International Airport Juan Gualberto Gómez and others first opened its operations , which will help consolidate the Cuban Economic Model

According to forecasts , the Russian market is one of the destinations that should be in the high season , the highest growth figures of arrivals to Varadero and the country.

Among tourism forecasts for 2014 include the consolidation as leading product Varadero Cuba Destination , as the resort has more than fifty hotels and receive 44 percent of tourists traveling to the island

A policy regarding foreign investment and training for non-state forms of employment associated with the tourism sector , in order to broaden services and enhance the excellence of the same is also available.

Varadero will have one of the largest in the Caribbean Sea , whose work is under construction in the middle of one of the busiest international routes pleasure yacht , accommodating up to 200 thousand yacht berths .

Tourism in Matanzas has a big challenge for the new year, as this sector is called to be the locomotive of the national economy , in keeping with the guidelines adopted at the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba , hence the interest in infrastructure development .
